FDA Bans First FD&C Dye! Which Will be Next?

The FDA has moved to finally ban Red Dye No. 3 from use in food and drugs in America.  Red Dye No. 3 was first determined to be a cancer causing color additive almost 30 years ago.  Studies conducted using labs rats found that they became inflicted with the disease after consuming large amounts of Red dye No. 3.  Thirty years ago, the FDA officially banned Red Dye No. 3 from use in cosmetics but left the door open for it to be used as a color additive in food and prescription drugs.  By January 2027, the FDA has ordered that Red Dye No 3 must be removed from all food in the USA and by 2028--from all drugs. Food Manufacturers Shiver in their Boots Red Dye No. 3 has mostly been used in baked goods, sweets and candies.  It is used by prominent candy manufacturers such as Mars Inc (Skittles) and Just Born Quality Confections (Peeps).  Food Manufacturing giants such as Con Agra, McCormick, Heinz, General Mills and Pepsi Co will all have to find alternatives for ...

What's in Green Lifestyle Organization's 2021 End of Year Blessing Bag?

One of the main initiatives of The Green Lifestyle Organization is the Blessing Bag, a small-medium sized bag which is given out to homeless citizens and shelters in the New York Tri State area.   Sooner than later, we'll soon be launching Blessing Bags across the United States to areas that need them the most.  Too often, homeless citizens are almost always given low quality items or ingredients.  Of course, those experiencing situations where they are in lack are grateful to have whatever they can get.  The mission of GLO's Blessing Bag initiative is to provide food and personal care items that are certified organic, non GMO and free of unsafe and toxic ingredients.   Here are some of the items that will be featured in GLO's 2021 end of year Blessing Bag: 1.) Nourish Organic Review

I discovered Nourish Organic last year while on the never ending hunt to find THE best natural deodorant.  The very first thing that I noticed about Nourish Organic was the official USDA organic symbol that was right smack on the front of every single product in their lines.  This is the only USDA organic skincare company that I know of at present.  Of course there are other beauty and skincare companies that may have one or two USDA certified organic products in their lines and collections.  However, every single product of Nourish Organic is USDA certified organic and that is absolutely wonderful and very essential.  There are too many skin and beauty companies claiming to have organic products without an official USDA symbol on the product.  I wholeheartedly support and recommend this company to all conscious consumers! WE WANT ORGANIC MILK STARBUCKS!!

Many coffee drinkers are fans of Starbucks. From the caramel macchiatos to the vanilla lattes, the taste in a cup of Starbucks coffee really packs a punch! Though the taste may be good to some coffee fiends, one can’t help but wonder if Starbucks is using GMO free ingredients in their products. Truth be told, they have made the step to cease using milk from cows injected with the artificial growth hormone rBST in 2007! It’s wonderful that they have stopped using rBST milk in their products. However, they are still giving genetically modified feed to cows. This is definitely not a wise practice for a company like Starbucks to continue to do! GMO Inside is running a petition to get Starbucks to cease giving GM feed to cows. If you want completely organic milk and dairy products from Starbucks, sign the petition NOW!
