Plant Based Diet Keeps Ashanti Looking Good

The sweet sounding singer and actress, Ashanti, arrived on the R&B scene in 2002 and has been writing and delivering hits ever since. Her debut album, Ashanti, was certified triple platinum in the USA and sold 6 million copies in that year alone. She continues singing and still performs at local venues around the world. The performer and influencer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2022.
Her mother, Tina, named her after the African Asante empire because she wanted her daughter to have the same power and influence as the women of the Asante tribe. Ashanti has been described by her peers as a nice person that one can't help but to love!
"I work on this daily because my schedule has been packed with shows, interviews, and appearances, and I have not taken the time out for myself. This is the first week in months that I am off for seven days straight. So my self-care routine will consist of massages, quiet time, writing some songs, and doing some shopping. I'm getting excited just thinking about it."
She is a hard worker who understands the importance of balance when pursuing opportunities.
"Creating a balance when working hard and going after all these amazing opportunities is essential. You have to be cognizant of your mental health, get enough sleep, drink enough water, and eat the right foods,” she exclaimed.
Ashanti stopped eating red meat and pork while she was in high school and began a pescatarian diet at the encouragement of her younger sister, Shia. She decided to take things a little further when it comes to her diet. Last year, the singer songwriter embarked on the journey of vegetarianism.
I cut out a lot of meat,” she mentioned of her lifestyle change. “I think again, self-health and self-awareness are so important. All of that stuff is so important to maintaining your body, knowing what’s in your food, the GMO’s and the chemicals, and I’m super aware of this stuff." She admitted to obsessing over ingredients in products that she uses on the daily stating, "I’m kind of a weirdo with that stuff."
During the pandemic, Ashanti donated 400 breakfasts with vegan meat to front line workers in her hometown hospital. Her belief that a plant-based lifestyle is a healthier option informed this charitable offering to workers.
She has admitted that the vegetarian lifestyle may be a little hard at first but it certainly pays off. Everyone can see the huge payoff.
Ashanti IGA few months ago, Ashanti announced that she is going to be a mom. She will also be starring in the No Address movie which brings awareness to the plight of homelessness and individuals living without an address. The movie is slated to be released later this year.
