Nikocado Avocado Woke up 250lbs Lighter! Vegan Again?!

Image
The Mukbang king, Nikocado Avocado, broke his 7 month silence after uploading a video to his channel last night.   He first appeared in the video wearing a big Panda head mask.  Beyond that gigantic panda mask, there was something noticeably different about Nick!   There was a super thin body under the mask!  Could this be a clone of Nikocado?  Is this really the same person who would down several cheeseburgers, nuggets, stuffed tacos and huge plates of noodles in one sitting?  Nikocado is the self proclaimed mukbang king of the internet and with that title came loads of weight gain. It was a real shock to see him slimmer than what he used to be as a vegan.  At the beginning of the video, he stated how he was "two steps ahead."  He went on to say that he had been a part of one of the greatest social experiments of his entire life and likened himself to being a villain of a story where he was able to have significant influence over his followers while remaining two steps ahead

Water Taste Test Featuring Kangen, Fiji, Essentia, Smart Water, Dasani & Poland Spring

I’ve been wanting to complete a water taste test to compare water brands with Kangen alkaline water and finally decided I’d complete one today. The purpose was to see which brand has the best, purest and the smoothest taste.  Both premium and standard water brands were selected. The water brands I selected are Fiji Artesian Water, Glaceau Smart Water Alkaline, Essentia Water, Dasani purified water, and Poland Spring.

Just for some background, I drink Kangen Alkaline water religiously but if I’m out and about and do not have Kangen on hand, I’ll likely purchase Essentia or Fiji water.  The results that I received were not extremely shocking! Instead they confirmed my original thoughts about these various waters.  At first, I drank a small bit of each water starting with Poland Spring water, then Dasani, Essentia, Smart Water Alkaline and Fiji Water. My sentiments about the taste and smoothness of each of the waters are below.

Fiji Artesian Water

Fiji Water claims to have significantly more electrolytes than other brands.  According to them, the electrolytes are naturally occurring as tropical rain filters through volcanic rock.  The water is bottled in Yaquara, Fiji.  It has a pH of 7.7 and contains the minerals silica, calcium, magnesium and bicarbonates. Fiji Water ranked second as far as taste and smoothness of the water.  There is a distinct taste of Fiji water, which seems so light and airy. It’s really unexplainable.  I don’t know what that volcanic rock does to the rainwater but it truly does something special to it.

Essentia Water

Essentia Water ranked third place. This is another water that is touted as an alkaline water.  It’s motto is “overachieving H2O” Essentia claims that their proprietary ionization process turns water from any source into supercharged ionized alkaline water. Ingredients listed in essentia are sodium, dipotassium phosphate, magnesium sulfate and calcium chloride. Electrolytes have also been added for taste.  The taste of essential water was good but it was not as smooth as Fiji or Kangen Alkaline (the king of water).  Essentia Water is bottled in Bothell, Washington.

Glaceau Smart Water Alkaline

Smart Water Alkaline comes a close second behind Fiji water.   Smart Water Alkaline claims to have a pH of 9+.  It is vapor distilled for purity and also ionized.  Smart Water is bottled in Atlanta, Georgia and other ingredients besides distilled water include magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, potassium bicarbonate as well as other added elecrolytes.   I was actually surprised originally believing that Essentia Water would taste better than Smart Water Alkaline. Smart Water had a similar feel to essential water but it was definitely smoother going down in my opinion.

Dasani Water

Dasani was the second water that I tried.  It had a slightly bitter taste to it.  Now I’m not sure what ingredient it is that gives it a slightly bitter taste but right off the bat, I noticed that Dasani Water was full of miniature bubbles that were very distinct.  I noticed some bubbles in Fiji Water but they were a lot less and much tinier than the bubbles in Dasani Water.

I used to drink Dasani water quite a bit in High School and college but I haven’t drank it since then.  Since I really liked it at that time, I wondered if I would still think the same way about it. Would some waves of collegiate nostalgia come over me?  Unfortunately, no I don’t feel the same way that I did about Dasani in the past.  Dasani uses reverse osmosis to purify the water.  The ingredients listed are purified water, magnesium sulfate, postassium chloride and salt. It really didn’t have a smooth taste and was seemingly harder than the others.  It might have been the worst to be honest.  Dasani is bottled by the Coca Cola Company in Atlanta, GA.  The bottle is listed as being a 100% recycled bottle so at least it has that going for it.

Poland Spring Water

I thought Poland Spring would have the worst taste before doing the taste test but it didn’t.  Poland Spring tasted better than Dasani Water.  Poland Spring Water is sourced in Maine in the United States from natural springs such as evergreen spring, garden spring, radbury spring, etc.  It didn’t have a smooth taste but it tasted pure.

Enagic Kangen Alkaline Water

I’ve coined Kangen Alkaline water as the king of waters because—well—it  it really is. First, none of the other waters can compare to the absolute supreme smoothness that can be had drinking Kangen Alkaline water.  Though you can’t touch the water with your hands to get a sense of the smoothness; one can assess it by mouth.  You can compare the smoothness of Kangen alkaline water to the smooth feel of a silk or cashmere garment.  Kangen alkaline water is created through ionization via the Enagic water machine. The machine uses a special electrolysis technology, which involves the addition of platinum coated titanium plates. It produces tiny water molecule clusters or micro clustersthat are better able to penetrate the bodily system leaving a person super hydrated.  The Enagic water machine can produce both alkaline (pH 8.5-9.5) neutral and acidic waters.  I used Kangen Water at pH 9.5 and this water was the most smooth compared to all the other bottled water brands.  There is really no comparison between Kangen Alkaline water and the bottled waters. Tasting is believing when it comes to Kangen water.  You have to taste the water to believe the hype. Then you’ll understand.

Feel  5     Taste 5     Smoothness  5

Total 15/15

To conclude, the best tasting bottled water is definitely Fiji Water.  If I am to rank them according to factors such as feel, taste and smoothness, the number #1 choice is Kangen Alkaline water. Kangen water really can’t be compared to these bottled waters. However, since this was a taste test, it’s important to give my honest opinion about the bottled waters that were tried.   Third place goes Glaceau Smart Water Alkaline while fourth place goes to Essentia.  Poland Spring and Dasani came in last and were not very smooth.  I didn’t get a chance to do a pH test on the waters but I’ll save that experiment for another day!
