Robert Redford passed away on the 17th day of September 2025 in his beloved home of Sundance, Utah. Redford was everyone’s favorite actor’s favorite actor.  He was a fixture in the world of Hollywood and an Academy Award winning actor and director whose work spanned many decades.  He has starred in notable films such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), The Great Gatsby (1974), The Sting (1974), Out of Africa (1985),  Indecent Proposal (1993), Avengers: Endgame (2019) as well as Broadway shows such as  Sunday in New York (1963) and  Barefoot in the Park (1963). While driving through Provo Canyon on a motorbike, Redford took in the scenery and instantly knew that he wanted to make a home there.  Always an avid lover of nature, Robert was mesmerized by the landscapes of Utah and sought to purchase more than 5,000 acres of land in Sundance while keeping the goals of preservation and conservation in mind. PlantPub Opens 2nd Location in Boston

Have you heard about Plantpub?  Plantpub is redefining the pub experience in America and offers a 100% plant based menu featuring classic American favorites and local New England ales and craftbeers.  This is a major accomplishment in the vegan and plant based restaurant scene.  Plantpub opened in the Fall of 2021 and they’re now opening a new 8,000 sq ft location this spring which will be situated across the street from Boston’s Fenway Park.

It’s hard to believe that classic comfort and sports bar favorites can be 100% plant based but Plantpub is making this happen.  The menu features items such as

Loaded Nachos

Pulled Pork Sandwich

Buffalo Wings

Chicken Caesar Salad

Fried Chicken Sandwich

An Array of pizzas (Wild Mushroom Truffle & Margherita)

The menu offers gluten free, soy free and nut free versions which great for people with nut allergies ; ) and sensitivity to gluten.  Guys, you don’t know how excited I am to hear about Plantpub! Look at how amazing this vegan food looks.  You know sometimes vegetarians and vegans get a bad wrap from out meat eater friends.  People often turn up their noses and say comments like “ewww… vegan? I want real meat and real cheese.” Or “I could never give up eating meat!”  Plantpub is proof that plant based or vegan food can be as delicious as the non-vegan versions.

Plantpub was founded by celebrity Chef, Mary Dumont & craft beer entrepreneur, Pat McAuley who went plant based for personal health and also for the planet.  Their mission is to make plant based food “fun for  all.”’  They clearly are accomplishing just that with the opening of their 2nd location.  That was a brilliant idea to open across from famed stadium, Fenway Park. The new space will be able to seat up to 300 people.

It’s been a while since I visited Boston but I can promise that I’ll be touching down again very soon (yes, just to visit Plantpub) hahahha!!  I can only wish that Plantpub founders (later on down the line) think about opening a location in Times Square. As a Yelp Elite member, I will make a review for the Boston location. I know it will be good! Cheers to you Plant Pub!!!!

The newest Plantpub location can be accessed at:
