Coach (Re) Loved Campaign

To increase efforts to improve sustainability Coach initiated a campaign which enables customers to recycle their old bags. Coach is an all American luxury design house which was established in New York and they've been creating much loved leather goods for decades.  Customers are given credit towards a new bag when they turn in their old bags. The design house then reimagines or restores the bag to like new condition.  Coach has four different methods for giving their old bags a new life:

1. Coach Upcrafted:  When Coach customers trade their old bag, coach re-designs the bag and may add elements to it in order to make it look like a completely different bag.

2. Coach Restored: Coach will restore older bags to their original condition

3. Coach Vintage:  Coach will restore vintage bags to their original condition

4. Coach Remade: Coach uses the materials from pre-loved handbags to construct and create a new handbag or leather good.

If you visit the Coach upcrafted section of the website you'll see handbags that look absolutely amazing. Many of them are sold out too! The design house has made use of elements such as flowers, hearts, fringes and even paint (yes, paint) to redesign the bags.

Coach recognizes that design houses have engaged in wasteful and unsustainable practices over the decades.  It's very ethical of Coach to want to put a stop to the wasteful ways of the business of fashion through their (Re)Loved campaign.  Through the campaign, they are engaging with and helping their millions of customers think about how they can do better to the planet and create a much more sustainable earth.

Do you have old Coach bags that you no longer use? Why not indulge in the practice of recycling and trade it in for credit? Let someone else love that handbag that's been collecting dust in your closet! I absolutely love what Coach is doing.  They are always surprising their customer base with the new and different.

So Wear it. Love it. Pass it On.
