The Princess of Wales brings Awareness to Holistic Healthcare Upon Completion of Three Peaks Challenge

The Princess of Wales completed the Three Peaks challenge over the weekend.  The challenge involves a blend of driving and trekking through three of the highest mountain peaks in England, Scotland and Wales--Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa. The challenge areas cover 23 miles of walking distance along with a 462 mile drive between each peak.   The challenge is open to the public and many aim to walk to the summit of the peaks within 24 hours.  However, the trek is so grueling and extensive that only 40% of the individuals attempting the challenge are able to complete it within this timeframe.  It is recommended that individuals desiring to complete the Three Peaks Challenge engage in strength training over a period of eight to twelve weeks. Whether Catherine engaged in strength training is unknown but she has always been quite athletic.  Not only did Catherine complete the challenge--she is part of the smaller percentage of people who were able to comp...

Summer Walker: “I believe in Herbal Healing.”

After an article was posted on the Green News Guide regarding Summer Walker feeding her baby hemp and honey, she took to her Instagram live to speak about different topics including why she was feeding her baby a hemp, honey and mushroom mixture in the recent past.  Summer owes no one an explanation as to why she fed her baby the whole foods mixture but the reason she did so was very clear.  She mentioned that her baby had a situation or what possibly was a minor medical condition.

Obviously, she independently discovered foods and herbs that would help her baby and used them to aid in healing.  In her live, she stated that the herbal mixture she gave to the baby “worked” and cleared up the issue that she was having at the time.  She said it was a short-term natural remedy that she fed to her baby.  In the previous article, I stated that people were jumping to conclusions and making assumptions that were not based on facts.  I also stated that people shouldn’t be judged for diets that are alternative or different than the norm.  It is her choice as a parent to decide what she believes is right for her child and no one should have a say in that.  Summer also put her foot down in the live while saying that people need to stop talking about other people’s children and mentioned that she doesn’t want anyone talking about her child in a negative manner.

The best parents are those who engage in active learning and make independent decisions that will benefit their children in their present and their future. No parent has all the answers; however, they shouldn’t solely look to what’s popular or what’s mainstream when it come’s to raising a child. It’s not known whether Summer consulted with a natural health practitioner or seemingly did her own research in choosing the healing nutrients that she gave her baby.  She didn’t look to what is considered mainstream advice for whatever condition that her baby was enduring.  She took matters into her own hands and opted for the alternative and in her words, it “worked!”

Holistic health is a wonderful domain for experiencing healing and wholeness.  It can be complementary to other domains of health and it can be THE one domain for experiencing total and complete health and wellness.  As an alternative medical practitioner, it’s always lovely to see parents like Summer who are embracing of natural health and firm believers in holistic healing.   Not only is Summer a free thinking parent, she is also an extremely talented singer and musician.  If you haven’t listened to her debut album, here’s a virtual nudge...πŸ‘ŠπŸΎπŸŒΏ
