Robert Redford passed away on the 17th day of September 2025 in his beloved home of Sundance, Utah. Redford was everyone’s favorite actor’s favorite actor.  He was a fixture in the world of Hollywood and an Academy Award winning actor and director whose work spanned many decades.  He has starred in notable films such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), The Great Gatsby (1974), The Sting (1974), Out of Africa (1985),  Indecent Proposal (1993), Avengers: Endgame (2019) as well as Broadway shows such as  Sunday in New York (1963) and  Barefoot in the Park (1963). While driving through Provo Canyon on a motorbike, Redford took in the scenery and instantly knew that he wanted to make a home there.  Always an avid lover of nature, Robert was mesmerized by the landscapes of Utah and sought to purchase more than 5,000 acres of land in Sundance while keeping the goals of preservation and conservation in mind. Fenty Skin Review: Is it Really Clean?

Rihanna released a skin care collection consisting of three products at the end of July after the success of her company, Fenty Beauty cosmetics. The latest product to be released in the Fenty skin range is the Instant Reset Gel Recovery Cream. The two products that I’ve tried are the 'Fat Water' which is a pore refining toner serum and the Instant Reset Recovery Cream. Fat Water is a transparent pink hue that looks like water but has a weightier volume.

It’s easy to understand why this toner serum was nameD ‘Fat Water.’ Fat Water has a mix of fruit and plant based ingredients such as cactus flower, acerola and fig fruit extracts and even vitamin B3 (Niacinamide). After using the product for over a month, I can say that it certainly does not dry out facial skin and it tightens and diminishes pores with great success. I think Fat Water is an amazing facial toner!!! It’s skin refreshing abilities are superior to others.

The Instant Reset Recovery Gel has a very familiar fragrance. I’ve sniffed it again and again trying to remember what product I had in the past with this scent. Caudalie, one of my favorite skin care brands, came to mind... so it may have been a product from that range. The recovery gel cream has a lovely apricot scent. I neglected to mention Fenty Skin’s packaging in the beginning. The subtle lavender hue of the bottles and boxes are really pretty and feminine. There was a unique element to the container of the Instant Reset Recovery Gel Cream. It came with a scooper!!!! How fancy! No need to use your fingernails though I’d say this is more ideal for individuals with super long nails.

When you flip the opening, the scooper is inside the compartment. The underside of the flap is reflective so it also acts somewhat like a mirror. Instant Reset Cream is moisturizing without causing excessive shine. It is designed to be an overnight cream. The product claims to help skin “bounce back to life every morning.” Along with Fat Water, it also claims to reduce the look of visible pores.

Are Fenty Skin Products Really 'Clean?'

On the packaging, the products are being promoted as clean with the statement “earth conscious” and keyword “clean." Both products and the other products in the line have really great plant BASED skin nourishing ingredients and vitamins but what I’m not too keen on is the addition of synthetic color additives like Red 33 and Red 4. There are much better plant based dyes that could be used as a substitute.

A product can’t be considered clean if these synthetic dyes, chemicals and "fragrance" are a part of the formulation. Most beauty products with the word “fragrance” contain synthetic chemicals. It’s just a term companies use to hide the actual chemicals used to create the synthetic fragrance. Phthalates are the number one toxic ingredient that are in most synthetic fragrances and the average person should avoid them as they have been linked to male reproductive toxicity and cancer.

Clean skin and beauty companies will stay away from artificial fragrance and will use “natural fragrance” which is usually fragrance MADE from essential oils.

There are also a few non-clean ingredients that are towards the very end of the ingredient list of the cream. Ingredients like Ammonium Acryloydimethyltaurate/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate crosspolymer or polyglyceral-3 methylglucose distearate are inside the cream. With that said, can Fenty Skin products be classified as 100% clean? No! I would say that the line is half way clean but not all the way there. The products are all gluten free, vegan and packaging made with recycled materials so Fenty Skin deserves a few green points for that.

The retail price of Fenty skin Fat Water is $28 (5oz) and the Instant Reset Recovery Cream is $40.
