Congratulations to Carvey Ehren Maigue who recently won the 2020 sustainability award offered by the James Dyson Foundation. The was created as a way to help young people realize their engineering potential. This year the foundation created a sustainability option for their annual award. Carvey is a 27 year old engineer from the Phillipines who developed a system called aureus system technology that uses particles from waste crop (fruit & vegetables) to harvest invisible uv light from the sun. he was chosen from the top 20 award entries. With Aureus System Technology, Carvey is helping to mitigate climate change by allowing a mode for waste to be upcycled and turned into electricity. When asked how his invention was sustainable, Carvey had this to say: "We need to utilise our resources more and create systems that don't deplete our current resources. Developing Research on How Fruits & Vegetables Can help to Fight COVID-19

“ Eat your Fruits and Vegetables ” was probably a command that the average person was likely to hear growing up. I know i had an aunt who preached fruit and vegetables all the time and I’m grateful that it rubbed off! Be thankful for all the fruit and vegetable preachers in your life because they are offering sound wisdom. Certain folks scoff at the sight of vegetables and fruits and it could be due to taste or general dislike of them. Realize and accept that fruits and vegetables have so much to offer to you—healthwise! The fact is that fruits and vegetables contain healing phytochemicals that are effective in fighting diseases and various other ailments. Numerous scientific studies support this fact. Phytochemicals are responsible for giving fruit, spices, herbs and vegetables their aroma, color and smell and are instrumental in maintaining and improving immunity. Diets full of meat and unhealthy foods will negatively impact overall immunity. A study named the UK Phyto-V Covid-19 ...

Fenty Skin Review: Is it Really Clean?

Image
Rihanna released a skin care collection consisting of three products at the end of July after the success of her company, Fenty Beauty cosmetics. The latest product to be released in the Fenty skin range is the Instant Reset Gel Recovery Cream. The two products that I’ve tried are the 'Fat Water' which is a pore refining toner serum and the Instant Reset Recovery Cream. Fat Water is a transparent pink hue that looks like water but has a weightier volume. It’s easy to understand why this toner serum was nameD ‘Fat Water.’ Fat Water has a mix of fruit and plant based ingredients such as cactus flower, acerola and fig fruit extracts and even vitamin B3 (Niacinamide). After using the product for over a month, I can say that it certainly does not dry out facial skin and it tightens and diminishes pores with great success. I think Fat Water is an amazing facial toner!!! It’s skin refreshing abilities are superior to others. The Instant Reset Recovery Gel has a very familiar fragrance...

Image
Vegetarian Chickadees who love their Mickeydees will now have a solid option to eat at McDonald's in 2021. It appears that McDonald’s has decided to catch up with their competitor Burger King who launched the Impossible plant based burger earlier this year. The Impossible Burger was widely received by many seeking meatless fast food options. McDonald’s announced that it will introduce the McPlant; a new plant based burger option that will definitely have some competition with the Impossible burger. McDonald's did not go into detail about the burger and what will be on it. They’ve only promised that the McPlant will be an iconic plant based burger. "There are other plant-based burgers out there, but the McPlant delivers our iconic taste in a sink-your-teeth-in (and wipe-your-mouth) kind of sandwich. It’s made with a juicy, plant-based patty and served on a warm, sesame seed bun with all the classic toppings." Beyond meat teamed up with McDonald's to help them creat...
