     Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been chosen by President Trump to oversee the Department of Health and Human Services. Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. or RFK Jr. as he’s affectionately nicknamed, hails from the very promininent and politically involved Kennedy family. He has a great legacy to uphold as the Kennedy family has so strongly and positively impacted the historical and political landscape of the United States. That family has experienced so much tragedy amongst its members but they’ve managed to overcome. The matriarch and patriarch of the Kennedy family, Joseph and Rose must be smiling down with joy about the impact that their entire lineage has made on society. Royal Family History with Homeopathy and Alternative Medicine: A Comprehensive Timeline

The royal family has been acquainted with homeopathy since the 1800s. Here is an easy to follow timeline that I’ve developed for others to learn about the royal Family’s roots in homeopathy.
Mid 1800s- Dr. Frederick Hervey Quinn was the son of the Duchess of Devonshire and the 1st Earl of Dunraven. Dr. Quinn was a traveling physician and headed to Naples when he met Dr. Neckar, a protégé of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, founding father of homeopathy. He was very impressed with Hahnemann’s system. During this period, Dr. Quinn became physician to European royalty such as Prince Karl Phillip von Schwarzenberg. He was also physician to King Leopold I, Queen Victoria’s father in law.
1827- Dr. Frederick Hervey returned to London in 1827 and formally introduced Hahnemann’s system of homeopathy to British society.
1830- Earl of Shrewsbury asks Hahnemann for a recommendation of a homeopathic practitioner who would become his personal doctor.
1835- Queen Adelaide wife of William IV publicized her interest in homeopathy after being unsuccessfully treated for a serious malady. She was cured by homeopathic physician, Dr. Johann Stapf. Marquess of Anglesy sought Dr. Hahnemann for treatment for his facial neuralgia and paralysis.
1840- Queen Victoria marries Prince Albert whose father, Prince Leopold, utilized Dr. Frederick Quinn for homeopathic services. German’s influence developed significant popularity in British society and Royal family at this time.
1845- Dr. Frederick Quinn’s practice at 13 Stratford in St James London grew rapidly. He was already influential and sought after in aristocratic society. Being familiar with this world, he introduced homeopathy to Viscounts, Lords, Baronets, and minor royals. He became the medical attendant to the Duchess of Cambridge (Princess Augusta of Hesse-Kassel).
1842- 77 homeopathic practitioners were on record of serving members of the monarchy. A homeopathic book is also dedicated to Queen Adelaide written by Dr. Harris Dunsford.
1849- Dr. Frederick Hervey Quinn established the London Homeopathic Hospital in Golden Square, Soho on the 10th of October.
1860s-70s- Dr. Frederick Quinn develops close friendship and becomes dining partners with Prince Edward who would later become King Edward VII.
Late 1800s- Sir John Weir, Physician Royal learns about homeopathy from his Scottish friend, Dr. Robert Miller who was head of the Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital.
Late 1800s to 1950s- Sir John Weir is Physician royal to King Edward VII, King George VI, Maud of Wales and husband, King Haakon of Norway, and Queen Elizabeth II.
Early 1900s- Queen Mary, wife of King George V heads fundraising efforts to expand London Homeopathic Hospital. King George V publicly announces appreciation for homeopathy in treating his seasickness.
1920- Royal London Homeopathic Hospital received patronage from HRH Duke of York who would later become King George VI. He influenced British society by going to homeopaths and publicly encouraged others to do so.
1924- Duke of York (Later, King George VI) becomes President of the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital.
1900s-to his death- Prince Edward (Later, King Edward VIII), Brother to Duke of York and uncle to Queen Elizabeth II would carry his homeopathic remedies in powder form in his pocket.
1932- King George V grants knighthood to homeopathic Physician Royal, Sir John Weir.
1936- Princess Elizabeth (Later, Queen Elizabeth II) becomes patron of the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital.
1939- Manchester Homeopathic Institute opened by Sir John Weir, Physician royal.
1943- Duke of York (Later, King George VI) had such a love for homeopathy that he named his prized horse after a homeopathic remedy, Hypericum.
1948- Royal London Homeopathic Hospital joins NHS.
1949- Sir John Weir is awarded the Royal Victorian Chain for the caring of King George V.
1980s-present Prince Charles, Prince of Wales actively promotes and popularizes complementary medicine an umbrella term for modalities such as homeopathy. Not only does he encourage it publicly, but personally and in his family life. Prince William and Harry and his wife Diana, were all partakers due to his influence.
1982-1983- Prince Charles served as President of the British Medical Association where he urged its members to take a serious interest in holistic approaches to health care.
1982- Queen Mother, wife of King George VI becomes Patron of the British Homeopathic association.
1988- Prince Charles opens Hale Clinic, a complementary and alternative health clinic in Marylebone London.
1990s- Prince Charles establishes Duchy Originals, a premium organic food and drink brand.
1992- Princess Diana met and maintained a friendship with Simone Simmons, a natural healer who worked at Hale Clinic. She would often receive alternative therapies such as hydrotherapy and aromatherapy.
1990s-2004- Royal family members sought out treatment from unconventional homeopath, Jack Temple. They include Princess Diana, Duke & Duchess of York (Andrew and Sarah Ferguson).
1993- Prince Charles established the Foundation for Integrated Health and publishes book detailing his views on organic gardening and farming.
1996- Prince Charles contributed $2 million GBP endowment to the Prince’s Foundation for Integrative Health charity.
1997- Sarah, Duchess of York visits Dr. Isaac Mathi’s holistic center. Sarah, reported to The Week that the family has been proponents of the system for a long time and even had a grandmother who was a homeopathic practitioner.
2001- Duke of Gloucester becomes Patron of British Homeopathic association.
2001- Dr. Peter Fisher becomes homeopathic physician to Queen Elizabeth II. He became clinical director of research at the Royal London Homeopathic hospital and editor of British Homeopathic Journal, Homeopathy.
2005- Prince Charles speaks to the Royal Society of Medicine conference advocating for integrated approaches to health care inclusive of alternative and complementary medicine. In his speech he encouraged the moving away from standard therapeutic relationships to one that is more balanced, individualized and patient centered.
2006- Prince Charles speaks to audience of health administration at World Health Assembly in Geneva urging them to develop a plan to integrate conventional medicine and alternative medicine.
2008- Prince Charles Duchy Originals brand expands and partners with Homeopathic manufacturer, Nelsons, to develop a line of herbal remedies and detox products.
2010- Prince Charles publishes Harmony: A New Way of Looking at Our World which speaks on organic farming, complementary approaches to health and environmental issues.
2010- Royal London Homeopathic Hospital changes its name to Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM).
2010- Duchess of Cornwall visits Holistic center in India for sinusitis treatment.
2011- Prince Charles The Prince of Wales send formal letter of support to the School of Homeopathy in Gloucestershire.
2015- Prince Charles’ Duchy Originals changes its name to Waitrose Duchy Originals. Products are sold in Waitrose stores in the UK.
2015- Meghan, Duchess of Sussex announces “I have been a long time believer in acupuncture. I used to have debilitating migraines. I was hospitalized for them and acupuncture changed my life.”
2017- Members of The School of Homeopathy’s faculty met with Prince Charles for progressive talks on homeopathy.
2018- Prince Charles launched the Ayurvedic Center of Excellence at the Science Museum in London. The Ayurvedic center was created for the purpose of evidence based research on yoga and Ayurveda.
2018- Meghan joins the family in May and is very fond of the art of Yoga having been taught by her mother. Her mother Doria, is a yogi and teacher of yoga to stars like Oprah.
2018- Duchess and Duke of Sussex, Meghan and Harry indulge in acupuncture, a modality which falls under alternative medicine.
2019- Prince Charles and wife stayed at Soukya, an Ayurveydic resort in November and planted Champa, a medicinal plant. They are frequent visitors of the resort.
2020- Prince Charles, afflicted with Coronavirus, utilized Ayurvedic and homeopathic treatment in conjunction with advice given by the NHS. Prince Charles is recovered.
