The Princess of Wales brings Awareness to Holistic Healthcare Upon Completion of Three Peaks Challenge

The Princess of Wales completed the Three Peaks challenge over the weekend.  The challenge involves a blend of driving and trekking through three of the highest mountain peaks in England, Scotland and Wales--Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa. The challenge areas cover 23 miles of walking distance along with a 462 mile drive between each peak.   The challenge is open to the public and many aim to walk to the summit of the peaks within 24 hours.  However, the trek is so grueling and extensive that only 40% of the individuals attempting the challenge are able to complete it within this timeframe.  It is recommended that individuals desiring to complete the Three Peaks Challenge engage in strength training over a period of eight to twelve weeks. Whether Catherine engaged in strength training is unknown but she has always been quite athletic.  Not only did Catherine complete the challenge--she is part of the smaller percentage of people who were able to comp...

SUNCOAT COSMETICS NON TOXIC NAIL ART POLISH REVIEW

It was pretty exciting to find a nail art set that was all natural.  If you are familiar with natural nail polishes, you know that it's rare to come across an all natural nail art set. It was wonderful to know that there was a natural alternative for women who enjoy doing creative designs.

Suncoat Cosmetics is a Canadian company that sells all natural makeup.  Suncoat cosmetics makes three different nail art sets which come in a variety of colors.  The set that is being reviewed here is called "Earth."  The earth set consists of a white, orange, pink and mint green.  They are mineral based nail polishes and the size of the bottles are 0.26 oz each.  This nail art set did NOT deliver.  When applying the brush to nails, you'll find that the colors are extremely sheer.  The white hardly shows and it is more of a pearly, sheer, ivory color.  When trying to create french tips, the white polish in this package was not able to create a nice white line.  Even after piling on coat after coat, the line still did not appear in full effect.  The color which was believed to be orange was actually a mustard yellow tint.  It was not pretty. The green color resembled dull green clay.

What was even worse was the fact that the colors dried out after a couple of months.  After opening the green and white polishes, the polishes had thickened to no end.  The polish just would not even cling to the brush.  This set turned out to be a waste of $20.  You can get a close up view of the consistency that it turned into below.  This is not like other natural polishes (that will not be named here) that last even after a year.

One other problem about the nail art set is the brush applicator.  The brush applicator needs to be much thicker.  The applicator is just to light and thin to create designs even while with a steady hand.  I'd advise Suncoat to try to formulate colors that aren't as sheer as these are.  Designs created with nail art applicators are meant to stand out.  They aren't supposed to appear as bland or bleak in comparison to the main nail color.  I love the fact that these are natural and mineral based but the colors and brush applicator need some adjustments.
