The FDA has moved to finally ban Red Dye No. 3 from use in food and drugs in America.  Red Dye No. 3 was first determined to be a cancer causing color additive almost 30 years ago.  Studies conducted using labs rats found that they became inflicted with the disease after consuming large amounts of Red dye No. 3.  Thirty years ago, the FDA officially banned Red Dye No. 3 from use in cosmetics but left the door open for it to be used as a color additive in food and prescription drugs.  By January 2027, the FDA has ordered that Red Dye No 3 must be removed from all food in the USA and by 2028--from all drugs. Boots Botanics Body Butter 10.14 fl oz REVIEW

Boots No. 7 is the # 1 drugstore brand in Great Britain. Boots No. 7 is a brand that carries cosmetics, skin care and beauty products. Boots Botanics introduced the Botanics line which boasts a variety of anti-aging products, skin and body care products that are plant based.  Our first purchase from the Boots Botanics line was the organic body butter. It is made with plant extracts, essential oils, and nourishing butters like shea and cocoa seed butter.

After trying this product for about a month, it would only be right to do a short and conclusive review on this product.  This body butter is 85% organic.  This means that 85% of the ingredients have been certified organic by the proper certification body in the UK.  This is not to be confused with the Boots No. 7 body butter. That particular product does not contain certified organic ingredients. The Boots Botanics organic body butter is thick and creamy in consistency.  Upon using this product, you should be sure to take a good amount of product with your fingers.  A little does not go a long way with this one.  The butter will appear watery when first applying it to the skin but don't be fooled!  The watery consistency that you will see at first is normal. A bit of rubbing will reveal its true moisturizing prowess.  The buttery, slightly watery consistency evaporates pretty well and really moisturizes the skin.  The final consistency of the butter once on the skin is non-greasy.

Active ingredients like rosehip oil  are what helps the skin to feel soft and supple.  The only factor that we didn't like about the product is that you really have to take out a huge dollop of the product in order for it to spread well. Other than this, we definitely give it two thumbs up.  Conscious beauty mavens and consumers will be pleased with the certified organic and clean ingredient list that this product contains.  The price point isn't too bad.  However, being that the product finishes quickly it can be considered pricey for some.  This product was made in the UK.
